We wanted to create an accent light taking advantage of the inherent beautiful and sharpness of 70mm IMAX film and combining it with a vintage style base. We start by choosing a long  14" segment of  IMAX 70mm film (of your choice - in this case film from a Rolling Stones concert) and encasing it into a block of high grade UV acrylic.  After the acylic block is removed from the mold It then goes through a series of sanding and polishing stages to bring out the film's true beauty.
 
What follows is 4 small rare earth magnets are cut into the underside of this film block which allows it to sit atop the steel light base.  Magnets are chosen so that this film acrylic block can be removed when necessary to change the standard low wattage bulb within (included).  Plug-in and your all set.
